Mica played a stunning set at Soho’s Pizza Express Jazz Club on Friday night.
Playing to a sold-out club, the UK’s Queen of Soul performed for over 90 minutes accompanied by her fantastic 4-piece band.
Running the gamut of soul, funk, gospel and jazz, Mica’s vocal prowess remains magnificant, and pretty much had everyone in the audience wowed!
Her between-song banter was also brilliant, talking about her 25 years in the music business, and dispensing all manner of relationship advice!
What stood out most of all was how amazing the new songs sound live. Given the space to breathe on a live stage, they really came into their own. Hold On, You’re The Only One, Baby Come Back and Born Again were just jaw-droppingly good.
