Boston Globe review Unexpected

February 2, 2010

Angie Stone’s new record Unexpected received a glowing review in the prestigious Boston Globe.

They write: “Honored themes of grown-up R&B pervade the songs of Angie Stone: love lost and found, persistence in the face of tribulation, touches of defiance and statements of self-worth, and, ultimately, expressions of faith.”

Deep!

A message from ANGIE STONE

January 27, 2010

Angie Stone  has written to her fans via her website to explain how special her new album Unexpected is to her.

Writes Angie, “This album is significant to me.  I lost my Dad earlier this year and I was devastated because it was so unexpected.  I was in the midst of recording my album, so I gleaned from my father’s wisdom and energy to get through it.  This album is different from anything I have ever done.”
