RIP Solomon Burke

We were incredibly saddened at the weekend to hear about the passing of Solomon Burke, one of the great cornerstones of Soul music.

The New York Times have published a fitting obituary, writing that he was “a singer whose smooth, powerful articulation and mingling of sacred and profane themes helped define soul music in the early 1960s.”
