UK Soulstress Chidi prepares for the release of her second album Exhale this coming May.
An accomplished singer/songwriter, Chidi has toured on b/v’s with Stevie Wonder , James Brown and most recent with Ms Bailey Rae …..and the Queen of disco Gloria Gaynor.
Her debut album UnRehearsed scored highly with the soul fraternity in 09, and the new record cleverly covers all the diverse aspects of what we call soul…..delivered from a reserved but bountiful vocal.
Exhale is already scoring a soul buzz, with cuts already being hailed by the likes of Snowboy , Chris Philips , Peter Young , SoulCuts and Craig Charles.

Soul and Jazz-Funk have given a great 3/5 review for Noel Gourdin’s new album (Fresh) The Definition.
They write: “The album’s signature sound is best defined by ‘Brand New (Fresh)’. It has a warmth that sort of draws you in and the light keyboard fills are a perfect counter point to Gourdin’s soul filled vocals. It’s a beautifully blended song… all the elements gel. Ditto the catchy opening pair – ‘In Love’ and ‘Puppet’. The set features a number of strong ballads – notably ‘Been a Long Time’ and ‘Only You’. The former wears a magical lilt while the latter rides in on a churchy organ that could’ve been recorded at Hi.”
USSO were formed in 92 – and this collective of talent included Daz-I-Kue, Don Ricardo, Hil St Soul, Steven Ville, Julie Smith and Paul ‘vibe’ C.
Some wicked singles hit the scene – and an album was recorded in 97 – but got shelved………….until now. Some brand new cuts have been recorded – but this ever so tasteful rework of the Roberta & Donny classic is just dynamite.

“The verve of the late 60s … Extremely authentic …” (Playboy Germany)
